Listen To Frank Ocean's Heart-Melting Aaliyah Tribute "You Are Luhh"
::Melts into a puddle of feels::
Over the weekend, on what would have been Aaliyah's 36th birthday, Frank Ocean uploaded a stripped-down cover of The Isley Brothers' "At Your Best (You Are Love)" dubbed "You Are Luhh," in which he deploys a swoon-worthy falsetto, to his Tumblr.
The song was covered by Aaliyah in 1994 and released as her second single. Aaliyah passed away in a plane crash in the Bahamas on Aug. 25, 2001 when she was just 22.
Frank's moving tribute follows the recent demo track "Memrise" in a slow trickle of new material he's been posting to his Tumblr lately. We're choosing to interpret this as throat-clearing before the first proper taste of his much-anticipated new album.
