Your pup is able to understand some of the words you're saying, as well as how you say them. But which is more important?
In a new video from PBS, the host of It's Okay to Be Smart Joe Hanson sorts it out, citing one study published in Current Biology that found words and emotions activate different parts of your furry friend's brain.
Each hemisphere of a brain has its specialties.

The left is usually dominant with language, and the right is more occupied with visual cues, like spatial tasks or facial recognition.

Animal Service officials blocked the end of the pipe in the drain, and were able to restrain the husky and walk it toward a metal grate.
A person the county deemed a "good Samaritan" was then able to lift the grate and free Bella.
Officials found the dog's family through its microchip, and Bella was returned home safely. Officials said it is not clear how Bella got into the drain.
Enjoy life outside the drain, Bella!

A woman hears a knock a her door...
She answers and a man is standing on her front porch.
"Hello" he says, "I'm your new neighbor. I'm obligated to inform you that I am a registered sex offender."
"This is totally unacceptable," she proclaims, "I'm calling my congressman!" And she slams the door.
A few seconds later there is another knock at the door. She opens the door and the same man is standing there.
"Hello, I'm your congressman."
